Jaysus Steven you have me confused now am definitley gonna have to call home tomorrow cause I remember not so long ago remarking about how pretty the Sail Inn looked and me mother told me it was wrecked, maybe its only the front still standing cause I got the impression that the back of it fell in, as for the owners I beleive it changed hands several times it could well be that nobody even knows any more! Katherine the Head is actually owned by a few people cant remember any more but when Tom Rielly sold his house (the nice white one with the Tennis Court) part of the land included the watchhouse the one all wired up, I think the new owners were scared someone would fall off it or something, although if anyone should have kilt themselves on that thing it would have been me! my initials are still on it or were! Some egit painted a soldier on it a millions years ago and I painted over it and put my initials in a circle beside it! Well theres incriminating meself if ever!!! Maybe the statute of limitations on vandalism has ran out! I actually never knew it was owned either nobody ever talked about it or maybe everyone just already knew! I personally think its a damn shame it was let go so bad it should be on the national Historical Registrar or something! Anyhoo! I will get back to youse on the rest or if i can find any more info! Declans is on the corner directly across from the Big Tree.

Paul i will have to leave it to someone on the Dev comm to answer that one for you cause I donnow who owns what in Clogher any more! been gone too long! but if all else fails go to Declans Pub and ask the Tracy to point you in the right direction or even who might have a clue! Katherine that little lookout should have the imprint of my arse (sorry!) on it I sat there for so long but the property was sold and that part ws included and suddenly it was barbwired all up and fell asunder but as for the other one I will ask my father who will probably give out to me for not remembering what it was! I know both of them buildings were lookouts or stations at some stage but I will ask unless someone else gets back to you but it seems like out little guestbook here has fallen by the wayside due to facebook! And Steven as for noels house I have no idea who owns it maybe the Co.that bought the ballroom and have the caravan park now. You too might need to go to Declans or Sharkey's for a pint and just ask! its an awful pity tht nobody comes on here now we used to have a great laugh! But at the risk of pissing off the Dev com. check out facebook the people organising the prawn festival for 2010 has a facebook page and maybe someone on it mighthave answers.

By anychance would anyone know who owns the house facing the caravan park with the field behind it used to belong to a man Noel McEvoy many years ago he used to have a caravan park on it.

The house seems to be empty and field also is it forsale or could some the locals point me in the direction who owns it now?

Thanks Steven.

Was just curious is there any other sites to put mobile homes on or purchase them in clogherhead besides Aisling? I have noticed a few more on down the road when your heading out off it but one seems to be closed wooden gates and other down the lane toward the been no one there when we have called. Also is there another one down near the life guard station and how do you get on to it?

Just wondering as have been up a few times and no one can point us in the right direction.

Thanks

You are also right Brian, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw all the "childer" who are friends of Our Denis that some of them have childer of their own! You forget that everyone is still growing up at home for Gods sake my own son is almost 16! So yeah I thing it would probably be a good idea if someone set up a FB for the Dev group and shure there is no minding on it and if they leave it open to everyone we can all post to it or put photos on or whatever. its a shame to see the guestbook on here die like this but I know and I know right well being from Clogher that people still click on the guestbook link to see if anyone is on but nobody wants to write anything on it any more! It used to be such a laugh (well there was always the few that would take the hump if anything was said) but for the most part it was a good laugh and a great way for many of us to keep in touch before FB. But it ceratintly is a ggod idea to think about. Hey Justin how's it going! you got a facebook page yet?!!! Have to run now I have used ume allotted time for bs'ing I have finals this week!

Your right Helen i think facebook has taken over!
Without meaning any disrespect to the Yellow Board i think facebook is a much better way for all Clogher folk to stay connected, much better functionality for having chats etc and sharing photos!

I think it could be something the development group could set up, wouldn't take a lot of maintenance and people could start putting faces to the names, i know i'm at a complete loss as to who is who on here!

Just a thought, but in any case we need to keep the chat going whether its on the YB or on FB

Hi Helen, its been very quiet of late here. Went over to dads house in Clogher over the weekend & drove through the village - very nicely resurfaced!! The lights are up in the village & it all looks very well so congrats to the Development Group again.
