HOLLINGSWORTH-PULSE 3rd and FINAL AQUATHLON RACE Pulse Triathlon Club will host the third and final Aquathlon Race in the Hollingsworth-Pulse Race series on Saturday 17 July in Clogherhead, County Louth.
Local fishermen might be forgiven for thinking the King Prawns really are in town when a crowd of wetsuited triathletes emerge from the sea on Saturday 17th July in Clogherhead to complete the 3rd race in the Hollingsworth-Pulse Aquathlon Series. This is no ordinary Race Day... the Aquathlon is part of an action packed programme for the weekend to celebrate the revived CLOGHERHEAD PRAWN FESTIVAL!
The Village, beach and harbour will be buzzing with a festival atmosphere throughout the weekend with activities for all the family and fun guaranteed for everyone. Programme includes lots of outdoor activities; a traders market, a dog show, Tall ships, plus lots of entertainment from the Belfast Circus, bands such as Boogie Nights, The Classic Beatles, Rattle & Hum and many more

Sunday next 9th August hundreds of bikers are taking part in a Coastal Charity Run in aid of the Rape Crisis Centre. They leave the Fairways in Dundalk at 9am and come to Clogherhead! It will be motorcycle heaven with an abundance of bikes taking part. | |

Ailish, I think Helen answered your question re the Stanleys comprehensivly. I met Euston when I was younger but I never met Fintan. I do have an old LP of his though called "Fintan Stanley on tour". He was a great box player. Fintan is a strange name and I had an uncle with the same name and I also have a cousin and a brother with it as well. A bit of good news for Clogherhead with the Pulse Triathlon taking place this Saturday 8th August. It starts off in the Big Strand with 750 metre Sea Swim followed by a 20km cycle and ending with a 5km run. It is hoped that the road will be closed in the Big Strand area and your support with the Marshalls and organisers would be appreciated. The best of luck to all who are taking part and to the organisers as well. | |

Yeah Evin me love buy a big asses GUN and shoot the b8st8rds!!! I hate snakes with a passion! Glad to see you are doing well and am shure you will the sunshine soon! But I know right well you will find a woman there even in the snow!!! Tell me am wrong! How long are you planning on staying there? DESI ! Wash your mouth out, Jesus Mary and holy Saint Joseph are you looking on giving me a stroke!!! No Christ no! I have three sons Ashley will be 15 next month, Conor is 11 and Logan is 6 that is more than enough for me! My husband went into Dr. for a check up and next morning ended up having an emergency quadruple bypass for 4 arteries over 90% blocked. It was quite the shocker allright, its a blooody miracle he did not drop dead of a heart attack whilst out on the road at work. He is a soldier (off active duty now Thank God)and 45 years old no signs, no nothing but the usual high bloody pressure but he always had that, this was a complete surprise but the good thing is now he has a few big doozeys of scars but is on the road to be 100% here soon. I will have to bring him to Clogher and fill him full of Guinness and make him all better!!! But thats good that you are going to try and get back there in August I hope you get good weather for it. | |
