Projects
CDG Incubation Units
CDG manages four business incubation units located at Port Oriel Harbour. These units are important to local business as they provide a premesis at reasonable rent to foster growth in the formative years after set up. There are currently ten people employed in the Units.

CDG Community Hall
CDG manages the Community Hall based at Chapel Road to ensure a clean, bright, warm facility is made available for 'non-contact' activities. There are currently approx. 450 users who participate in Hall activities each week.

CDG All Weather Pitch
CDG manages the All Weather Pitch based at Callystown Road. This facility is adjacent and available to the local national school during school hours. It is available to the general public after school hours with discount rates for teenagers. The facility is UEFA standard and is floodlite. There are currently 250 users per week.

CDG Lotto
CDG manages a local licenced weekly lotto draw. This fundraising activity is one of the main sources of income for CDG. Profits from the lotto are earmarked for local projects.

CDG Website
CDG manages and maintains this website. The continued expansion of the site will eventually serve as a reference point for locals and an information point for visitors. Contributors are welcome.

CDG Tidy Towns
CDG manages various initiatives such as recycling, planting, hanging baskets, Christmas lights, street cleaning and litter control. Our efforts were rewarded in 2007 when we were a category winner in the All Ireland Tidy Towns Competition. We were also a Silver Medal Winner in 2007 for Litter Control.

CDG Fundraising
Like so many voluntary organisations, there is a constant need for fundraising to achieve CDG goals. The CDG Lotto has been mentioned above. Events such as Poker Classics, Sponsored Walk, Table Quiz have been run in the past to raise funds. Amenity grants and Competition wins are also a welcomed source of income. Local government and government grants are also pursued to help continue the activities of the group.
