Tidy Towns 2008.
In an effort to enhance our Village, a group of people “Tidy Towns Together” are meeting every Wednesday night at 7.p.m. at the Community Hall and will then proceed to various places throughout the village in an effort to make these areas more appealing to the eye. If you would like to help just come along. Maximum time 1.5 hours. Looking forward to seeing you there as any help would be appreciated.

Free Summer Classes in Hall.
The Community Adult Education Summer School will take place in June in the Community Hall, Clogherhead. 16 -19 June Art for beginners. Courses are from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Dreadnots Bingo continues every Monday night at 8.30.p.m. in the Community Hall.

On Saturday next 14thJune Cllr. Jacqui McConville will host one of her “Clinics” from 12 – 1 pm in the Community Hall.
VHI GAA Cul Camps.
Beginning Monday 7th – Friday 11th July from 10am – 2.30pm the above Camp will take place in the Dreadnots field, Clogherhead. It is open to boys and girls from 7 – 13 years of age. Costing €65 which includes Cul Camp jersey, shorts, socks and Cul Kit Bag. Further information from Padraig on 087 6784912.
Credit Union 40th Anniversary Open Day/Dance.
The local Credit Union are pleased to announce an Open Day this Saturday 14th June to officially launch the new extension to their offices. An invitation is extended to all to help them celebrate during the day and also at their 40th Anniversary Dance that night in the Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda. Tickets are only €30 each and are available from the Credit Union and any Board Member. Music on the night by the fabulous Navan Swing Band.
Neptune Outdoor Centre.
Situated on Clogherhead beach, beside Lifeboat Station, this centre is taking bookings for their Adventure Summer Camp in July and August. Available also are sailing and kayaking courses for adults. Further details on 041 9834422 or call into the Adventure Centre on the beach.
7th Louth Scouts.
The organisers of the Table Quiz in aid of the Clogherhead Scouts would like to thank all who attended the Quiz on Friday night last. A special thank you to Jackie and staff Harbour Bar, Padraig Rath and Peter Walsh for all their help. Money raised will go towards much needed equipment etc for the Scouts.
