In an effort to enhance our Village, a group of people “Tidy Towns Together” are meeting every Wednesday night at 7.p.m. at the Community Hall and will then proceed to various places throughout the village in an effort to make these areas more appealing to the eye. If you would like to help just come along. Maximum time 1.5 hours. Looking forward to seeing you there as any help would be appreciated.

On Wednesday next, the local guild of the ICA are hosting a Garden Demonstration in the Community Hall at 8.30.p.m. All you garden enthusiasts are invited to come along and get some information and guidance on how to enhance your garden. Fee is €5 and light refreshments will be served.

The local Credit Union are pleased to announce an Open Day on Saturday 14th June to officially launch the new extension to their offices. The Annual Tractor Run in aid of the Cardiac Unit St. Brigids Ward, Crumlins Children’s Hospital took place last Sunday and the display of tractors was magnificent. Congratulations to all concerned for the way you have kept your machines in such splendid condition.

Save our “Cancer Unit”
On this Thursday, May 15th a “Meeting” has been organised in an effort to keep the Lourdes Hospital “Dóchas” Cancer Centre opened. The crippling disease of Cancer may not have affected you or your family in the past, but it could in the future. Your support would be much appreciated, so hope to see you at The Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda on the 15th May.

The above school extend an invitation to all to join them on Sunday next 25th May from 1 – 6 p.m. in the grounds of the Grammar School Mornington where they are holding a Summer Fete in aid of school funds. Condolences.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Philip McEvoy, family and extended family of the late Rose McEvoy, Mayne. Rose was interred in The Mullagh Cemetery last Tuesday following Requim Mass in St. Michael’s Church. Sympathy also to Tracey Kelly, Mayne on the death of her father Francie Leech. Francie was interred in St. Peter’s Cemetery following Requim Mass in the Lourdes Church. May they rest in peace.

Tidy Towns 2008.
In an effort to enhance our Village, a group of people “Tidy Towns Together” are meeting every Wednesday night at 7.p.m. at the Community Hall and will then proceed to various places throughout the village in an effort to make these areas more appealing to the eye. If you would like to help just come along. Maximum time 1.5 hours. Looking forward to seeing you there as any help would be appreciated.

On this Thursday, May 15th a “Meeting” has been organised in an effort to keep the Lourdes Hospital “Dóchas” Cancer Centre opened. The crippling disease of Cancer may not have affected you or your family in the past, but it could in the future. Your support would be much appreciated, so hope to see you at The Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda on the 15th May.
Play in the Little Duke Theatre.
Sincere thanks to actors, organisers etc. for the magnificent night we had at the Sleeping Beauty play on Thursday night last in the Little Duke Theatre Drogheda. The proceeds went towards our Parish expenditure.

Annual Tractor Run.
The Annual Tractor Run in aid of the Cardiac Unit St. Brigids Ward, Crumlins Children’s Hospital will be departing the Lifeboat Station on Sunday next May 18th at 1.p.m. Proceeding to Darby’s Pub, Togher for refreshments, they will then return to Clogherhead, collecting sponsorship on the way. The group will be meeting from 11.30.a.m. so come long and view this magnificent display of tractors and give your support to this very worthy cause.
Dreadnots Annual Golf Classic.
