Road Sweeper.
Tomorrow (Thursday) the County Council have arranged for the roads to be swept in Clogherhead. This will start at 6 a.m. If it is at all possible could you park your vehicles in your driveways, so as to leave the roads clear. It is only for one night. Your co operation would be appreciated.

On Sunday 24th August, sees the Annual Sports Day in Walshestown Football Pitch. Starting at 2.30.pm. there will be activities for all the family, as well as refreshments on sale. A great day not to be missed.

Blessing of Fishing Fleet.
Sunday last 3rd August, saw the Annual Blessing
of the Fishing Fleet at the Harbour to a packed pier in beautiful sunshine. It was reminiscent of the old days in Clogherhead. The boats were decorated with bunting and all that was missing was a trip in them.
Congratulations to all who took part in the various competitions on the day and especially the winners who were: Net Mending Tony Kirwan 2nd Gerard Sharkey Jnr 3rd Niall Connolly: Net Splicing: Tony Kirwan 2nd Gerard Sharkey Jnr 3rd John Lynch Howth: Prawn Tailing: Matthew Kirwan, 2nd James Kirk, 3rd Fitzy from the Group Rap Scallion.
